Cleaning

love your carpet, live your space

General maintenance (aka: keep Your carpet happy)

Give your newly fitted carpet or rug a regular vacuum. Some early fluffing or “shedding” is totally normal — think of it as your carpet settling in. This will soon stop with frequent vacuuming and won’t affect its good looks or performance.

Keep up regular vacuuming throughout your carpet’s lifetime, and remember: turn the beater bar OFF — carpets with loop pile prefer a gentler touch!

Want Your Carpet to Live Its Best Life?

Help your floorcovering stay fabulous for longer by following these easy tips:

  • Pop barrier mats by doors — they catch dirt before it crashes the party (just clean the mats often!)
  • Use castor mats under wheely chairs — prevent wheely-chair wear and tear
  • Add furniture cups under furniture legs — no more tiny pressure divots
  • Lay non-slip underlay under rugs and rotate rugs regularly — fair wear is happy wear
  • Grab an Emergency Spot Cleaning Kit when you buy your carpet or rug — because spills happen, and it’s best to be ready!

Cleaning 100% wool carpets or rugs

Wool is a wonderfully natural and resilient fibre — but like your favourite cream jumper, it isn’t completely immune to the occasional coffee or wine mishap. The good news? With quick, gentle action, most spills can be handled beautifully.

Spills & Stains — Do:

  • Lift, don’t smear — Remove any solids carefully using a spoon or blunt knife
  • Blot promptly — Use plain white absorbent paper (kitchen towel is ideal)
  • Keep it fresh — Replace the paper frequently until it comes away dry
  • Cool and calm — Apply cold water sparingly and continue blotting as above
  • Use your emergency spot cleaning kit where appropriate
  • Call in the professionals if the stain proves stubborn

Spills & Stains — Do NOT:

  • Do not rub or scrub — this can burst the pile surface and cause permanent damage
  • Do not use home steam cleaners — wool prefers a gentler touch
  • Do not use household cleaning chemicals — these may set the stain, damage fibres, or leave a sticky residue that attracts re-soiling

Cleaning carpets or rugs containing sisal

Caring for sisal carpets and rugs is straightforward and follows many of the same principles as caring for wool — with one important difference: keep it dry. Sisal is highly absorbent and sensitive to moisture, so gentle, dry-focused cleaning is key to preserving its natural texture and appearance.

Cleaning in&out Spice carpets or rugs

PET yarn carpets are durable, stain-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them a practical choice for high-traffic and family living. While they are more forgiving than natural fibres, prompt attention to spills and regular care will keep your carpet looking its best.
